The Human Resources Team at Island Hospital provides guidance and support to hospital staff and leadership in all HR related matters. The Team performs with a high level of professionalism and expertise in all HR program areas, embodying the values of the IH Promise – Teamwork, Service Excellence and Compassion, to ensure an exceptional, quality experience for all those we serve.

The HR Coordinator (Recruiter) is responsible for independently administering the recruiting, interviewing and selection process for assigned positions by identifying appropriate ad sources, pre-screening candidates, partnering with the hiring manager to develop the interview framework and ensuring a comprehensive selection process that reflects the Island Hospital Promise. This position will support hiring managers and applicants by providing timely communication and addressing questions regarding application status or employment postings. The HR Coordinator is instrumental in championing Island Hospital and elevating the organization’s presence in the region by building and sustaining partnerships with local educational partners, participating in Career Fairs and other relevant community events. Additionally, the HR Coordinator contributes to projects and initiatives across all program areas in Human Resources.

Position Requirements:

- Qualified candidates possess a minimum of three to five years of progressively responsible experience in Human Resources related program areas with exposure to full life-cycle recruitment required.

- Exceptional customer service skills and the ability to evaluate and communicate complex information in regularly understood terms.

- Strong organizational skills, keen attention-to-detail and the ability to develop an efficient workflow in a high

volume, dynamic work environment.
