Job Summary:
The Tasting Room Associate is responsible for providing an exceptional customer experience, conducting wine tastings, managing wine inventory, and maintaining the tasting room's appearance. This role requires a friendly, outgoing personality with a passion for wine and customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
Customer Service: Greet and welcome customers, conduct wine tastings, answer questions about wines and winery history.
Sales: Use POS system to ring up purchases of wine, food, and merchandise. Promote winery events and wines.
Inventory Management: Maintain appropriate display of wine inventory for retail and tasting purposes. Keep track of wine stock used for tastings.
Tasting Room Upkeep: Perform general housekeeping, cleaning, and organizing of the tasting room and wine inventory.
Event Support: Assist with private events and off-site events representing the winery.
Requirements:
Must be 21 years of age or older.
Must have a WA Alcohol Server permit (MAST card) or obtain prior to starting employment
Flexible schedule, including weekends and evenings.
Ability to lift 40-50 lbs, stand for long periods, and perform physical tasks.
Warm, friendly, outgoing, professional, reliable, and trustworthy.
Willingness to learn about wines and the winery.
Work Environment: The work environment includes both indoor and outdoor settings, with occasional exposure to outdoor weather conditions
