The Majestic Inn and Spa is an historic boutique hotel located in downtown Anacortes. It features 64 guest rooms, multiple indoor/outdoor events spaces, restaurant, and rooftop lounge. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of hospitality sales and event experience. Key responsibilities include -
Closely following up on all leads within a 24 hour response time line to customers.
Responsible to develop business through pro-active direct sales, email, appointment calls, and tours of the hotel.
Clear understanding of the hotels sales strategies then set goals and to determine action plans to meet those goals.
Provide the highest quality of service to the customer at all times.
Execute and supports the operational aspects of business booked (e.g. generating proposal, Corporate Rate Application letter, writing contract, customer correspondence, etc).
Work closely with Revenue Manager to ensure proposed rate negotiations are in line with hotels goals.
Develop strong relationships with all departments to ensure working in unity and always striving to achieve the same goals.
Targeting key accounts potential for the hotel in terms of room nights and event bookings.
Builds and strengthens relationships with existing and new customers to enable future bookings.
Develops relationships within community to strengthen and expand customer base for sales opportunities.
Pre Event Coordination Highly effective at guiding an event coordinator through the creation of detailed BEO's, contracts, timelines, event layout maps, etc. Ability to train others to assist in coordination and to lead events.
Event Execution - Proficient at working events with the goal of training/mentoring the event coordinator and event staff to be self sufficient.
Other duties as defined by the GM.
This position requires availability on weekends and events, when necessary, to support events.
