Description: Under the guidance of higher level personnel, perform tasks associated with preparation of new, fleet return and special purpose missiles for tactical readiness by setting up and conducting the final acceptance tests, troubleshooting and performing operational checkout of systems, subsystems and components. Perform inspection and related functions involved in quality assurance and acceptance of Fleet Ballistic Missile systems, components, materials and Systems Acceptance Checkout Equipment (SACE) at the Strategic Weapons Facility Pacific (SWFPAC).Perform adjustments, synchronizations, modifications, repairs and user calibrations on FBM test consoles. Perform preventative and corrective maintenance operations. Prepare new and fleet return flight electronics packages for troubleshooting, operational checkout, and final acceptance tests on various package level and subsystem level electronic test consoles.Work with technical assistance and guidance, or work independently with complete procedures or written instruction after initial on-the-job instruction and guidance.Work with progressively less guidance and instruction as knowledge, skill, and experience in classification increases.Assist in and/or perform acceptance testing, troubleshooting and operational checkout of electronic and other systems on missiles or flight electronics packages prior to and during customer acceptance for tactical test operations.Assist in and/or perform the set-up, interconnecting and making ready test equipment, performance measuring and simulating instruments in preparation for checkouts as required. Assist in and/or perform the operation of test consoles and instruments during systems and component test to demonstrate, record, analyze and correct operating performance of missiles or flight electronic packages; perform tests in such areas as guidance, telemetry, command and control, payload/vehicle compatibility, simulated countdown and simulated flight.Record test data during operational checkout; assist in diagnosing, locating and troubleshooting malfunctioning parts of the system.Assist in and/or perform adjustments, synchronizations, modifications, repairs, rework corrections and replacements as required to meet specified requirements. Assist in and/or perform the repair and maintenance associated with ground test and data recording equipment such as SACE or test consoles. Assist in and/or perform inspection of the assembly, disassembly, modification, repair, rework, test consoles (e.g. SACE), or other support equipment; of the receipt, shipment, handling, testing, altering, repairing, reworking, and packaging of components and hardware.Stamp or otherwise approve acceptable parts, tests, etc., and prepare or process paperwork as required. Reject items found to be discrepant or unacceptable, and determine reason for rejection as required; prepare necessary discrepancy documentation for disposition of such items. Evaluate test data, assembly and refurbishment processes and procedures and recommend new methods, processes or procedures to improve quality assurance and quality control. Assist in and/or perform a continuous monitoring of all production and test activities. Assist in and/or devise specialized test apparatus as required.Once certified/licensed in a specific area, this position will provide guidance, assistance, and training to other employees in training. Assist in and/or perform inspection of ordnance and inert components, assemblies and systems.This position is for day shift, but may require some shift work, and is located in Silverdale, Washington.A pre-employment physical exam, background check, drug screen, and Interim Secret Clearancerequired prior to start.Basic Qualifications:Minimum of 18 months experience in aerospace operations or other relevant experiencePossess general knowledge of electronics, calibrated test instruments and shop mathematicsFamiliar with troubleshooting, operational checkout and inspections of missiles and their componentsAbility to obtain and retain Arms, Ammunition, and Explosives (AA&E) certificationMust possess a valid driver's licenseMust be a US Citizen.
