I'm looking for a part time driver to deliver The Daily Racing Form. It’s a small newspaper about the size of a magazine. The job is Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday evenings beginning at approximately 9:00pm. There are also approximately 6 Saturday's per year you will need to work which will include the Saturday of Memorial Day weekend and the Saturday of Labor Day weekend. We work all holidays that fall on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday including Thanksgiving. We have 2 guaranteed days off per year which are Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.
This is a fixed delivery route which begins at approximately 9:00pm and includes 15 retail locations (most of them are 7-11 or similar) and Emerald Downs. It’s about 100 miles long and takes about 4 hours. The starting location is at 145th and Aurora AVE in Shoreline, goes down to Tacoma, and the route ends on Admiral Way in West Seattle.
You will be an independent contractor, not an employee so NO taxes will be taken out of your check.
Qualifications:
- MUST be reliable and have reliable transportation.
-MUST be able to lift 20lbs.
- Previous delivery experience is strongly preferred but not necessary.
- MUST be available to work Saturday (there are only 5 or 6 Saturday’s per year we work).
- MUST be able to work independently without supervision.
- MUST be able to communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing, in a professional manner.
