RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities of this position include overseeing the work of level mechanics performing mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and preventive maintenance overhaul and repair work on a variety of heavy-duty vehicles and stationary equipment and related components.

JOB DETAILS

Engage in mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic overhaul and repair work on light and heavy vehicles, tractors, trailers, related equipment, and other mechanical-related equipment.

Follow preventive maintenance program.

Complete daily work as provided by Maintenance Manager

Complete Skagit specific training for Mechanics and shop employees.

Maintain and update equipment records, prepare work orders, maintenance schedules.

Document maintenance, repairs, and problems on work orders.

Troubleshoot and evaluate equipment repair needs; plan strategies, parts, tools, and equipment needs.

Open and close works orders and schedule inspections. Use computer terminal.

Plan and coordinate repairs timely.

Perform other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS

Washington State Driver’s License

Commercial Driver’s License Preferred

Obtain and maintain certifications (some positions)

Additional licenses, certifications and other requirements determined to be necessary to meet the business needs of the employing unit may be required.
