Job Summary:
Veteran Towing is looking for a dependable and professional Tow Truck Operator to handle roadside assistance calls and vehicle transports for our business clients. The ideal candidate will be experienced with vehicle towing, customer service, and safe transport practices. This role requires flexibility, attention to detail, self driven, and a commitment to providing excellent service to both stranded motorists and business clients.
Key Responsibilities:
Roadside Assistance:
Respond to dispatch calls for jump-starts, lockouts, fuel delivery, and vehicle tows.
Assess and safely resolve vehicle issues or transport to a repair facility as needed.
Provide professional, empathetic service to customers during high-stress situations.
Auction Transports:
Pick up and deliver vehicles to and from auto auctions, dealerships, impound lots, and storage facilities.
Ensure proper vehicle identification, documentation, and handling during transports.
Load and secure vehicles using flatbed or wheel-lift tow trucks with care and precision.
General Duties:
Maintain daily vehicle inspection logs and ensure tow truck is clean, safe, and road-ready.
Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding ETAs and service updates
Follow all DOT, traffic, and safety regulations at all times.
Complete service tickets and necessary paperwork accurately.
Follow all company policies.
Follow all safety rules and policies at clients locations.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required.
Over the age of 25 (Insurance Requirement)
Valid Washington State driver’s license
Clean MVR
CDL NOT REQUIRED but a plus.
Experience in towing, roadside assistance, or vehicle transport preferred.
Familiarity with GPS systems, Towbook.
Must have a smart phone with active cell phone service
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Ability to work under stressful conditions
Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently.
Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift and maneuver 50–75 lbs regularly.
Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Able to bend, kneel, and perform physically demanding tasks.
