Salary Range:
$20.00 To 25.00 Hourly
Summary of Position:
The Driver is responsible for the distribution and delivery of maintenance, repair, and operational (MRO) products to a variety of facilities and businesses. You will operate a company delivery truck, loading, and unloading freight for deliveries to local customers.
Essential Functions:
Provide excellent service to customers, including generating sales leads
Loading the truck in an efficient manner for unloading and confirming customer orders
Climbing in and out of delivery cab to accommodate customer deliveries throughout the day
Operating foot and hand controls for commercial vehicles
Operating a commercial vehicle in compliance with local, state, and federal laws
Creating customer cheerleaders through excellent customer service; providing assistance as a liaison between customer service and delivery location as needed
Performing overtime as required, accomplishing deliveries, and maintaining customer satisfaction
Obtaining delivery confirmation via manual or electronic methods
Performing warehouse duties and tasks assigned
Delivering a wide variety of items
Following delivery driving routes and time schedules
Loading, unloading, preparing, inspecting, and operating the delivery vehicle
Complete logs and reports

Work Environment:
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.
Physical Demands:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee in this position frequently communicates with other co-workers/clients who have inquiries about the various projects and other needs. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations. The employee must be able to remain in a stationary position 75% of the time. The employee in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc. Constantly operate a computer and office machinery such as a calculator, keyboard, copy machine, and printer. Frequently moves boxes with equipment weighing up to 70lbs across the building and/or to other offsite buildings for various project needs.
Required Education and Experience:
High School Diploma Required
1-3 years of experience
Qualifications:
Valid, active Driver’s License
Clean Motor Vehicle Record
Ability to load and unload heavy items up to 70 lbs.
Must pass DOT physical, criminal check, and drug screen
Excellent customer service
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Good driving record with no traffic violations
