Aplica ya

Join the growing Rutheo Designs team and step into a chance to rewrite how traditional garden care is done. Go beyond mow & blow, and help build a stewardship regime that prioritizes plant health and urban wildlife. Here, you'll connect with coworkers and customers who have chosen our company to be part of a new way forward in urban ecosystem management. This position comes with opportunities to help educate customers and our processes on best practices for healthy habitat in the landscape.

Be a caretaker of our urban ecosystem in a Lead Landscape Stewardship & Maintenance role. Tend to the soil and plants while taking care of our customers & their gardens. Landscape Stewardship/Maintenance Technicians perform maintenance duties and care for the plants and landscapes of our customers, both on a recurring basis and one-off cleanup, pruning, or weeding jobs. The goal of all stewardship activities is to improve the health and beauty of our customer's landscapes, and help our customers connect to nature in their own yard.

All of our stewardship & maintenance activities use all-electric tools, and organic practices.

We are looking for an experienced gardener & horticulturalist with minimum 3 years experience in landscape maintenance, and 3+ years of experience with native plants and ecology-related studies. Someone with in-depth and species specific pruning knowledge, intermediate to advanced plant ID, and basic to advanced understanding of pollinator & bird habitat and ecology who also doesn't mind some time mowing lawns will be a good fit for this roll. If you can explain why it's best for the garden to leave the leaves as mulch, why flower stalks should be left in the garden through the winter, and would enjoy discussing such things with people about their gardens, we want you on our team!
