We’re seeking an experienced sew-er/seamster/seamstress to join our growing marine canvas company in Ballard. Our company delivers custom tailored covers and enclosures for high-end yachts in the local area. We offer the opportunity to develop specialized skills in a highly desirable trade in a fun work environment. A love of boats and boating people is a must!
The individual should have excellent sewing skills using industrial, walking foot sewing machines. Other important considerations include the ability to learn quickly and deliver precision work with close attention to detail. The role will need to be comfortable working with a small team and willing to take on adjacent tasks including pattern clean-up, cutting and product design.
The work will be performed at our new, modern shop in Ballard, just across the street from Shilshole bay. Work from home is not feasible for this role.
The individual will likely start part time with the expectation of growing into a full time role.
