The Maintenance Engineer is responsible for the maintenance and preservation of STG’s physical spaces, including the Paramount, Moore, and Neptune Theatres as well as other office and building spaces. Responsibilities include actual maintenance and oversight of all equipment, systems and building components including, but not limited to: mechanical and electrical systems, HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing, locks, furniture, paint, wall coverings, and other equipment. This position earns between $25.78- $36.11/hour, plus benefits including, medical, dental, vision, life, ltd, std insurances and paid time off, as well as 403b retirement savings with a discretionary match.

Maintain, repair, organize, and clean all building systems, tools and related equipment.

Install and tear down shows and clean up areas for the next scheduled event.
Perform maintenance and repairs of various HVAC equipment including: air handlers, VAV boxes, fan coils, heat pumps and split systems.
Perform light plumbing repairs including but not limited to: toilets, urinals, sinks, faucets and drainage.
Performs building repairs including drywall, paint, wallcovering, ceiling tile and grid, carpet and tile flooring, door and door hardware.
Performs plumbing repairs including faucets, sinks, urinals, toilets, drains, and valves.
Performs daily site inspections of the facilities and mechanical equipment to ensure proper operation.
Performs preventive maintenance to building systems and equipment as assigned and creates equipment check sheets as requested.
Provides a report to the Maintenance Coordinator noting any problems found.
Performs electrical repairs, such as replacing lamps, switches, receptacles, cord caps, etc.
Manages work requests from various stakeholders, and work with manager and maintenance team to prioritize and schedule.
Manages office furniture reconfigurations, furniture moves, and office moves, as requested.
Coordinate outside vendors/engineers as needed, in partnership with Director, Preservation & Maintenance.
Perform other reasonable job duties as requested.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
Working knowledge of electrical and plumbing systems, basic construction, HVAC systems
Ability to read and understand blueprints and schematics
Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds without assistance and heavier lifting or movement tasks with assistance.
Move up and down stairs, service ramps, and/or ladders.
Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
Enter and locate work-related information using computers.
