Maintenance Assistant needed - Part-Time - Somewhat Flexible 24 Hours per week M-F (Tukwila, WA)
Canyon Estates Condominiums is looking to hire a part-time person who will be assisting with maintenance duties as follows:
- Garbage collection and compacting (driving a Gator utility vehicle).
- Pressure washing siding/parking lots, painting interior/exterior/parking lines as needed.
- Landscaping (mowing lawn, trimming trees and bushes)
- Minor drywall repairs, including installing drywall, texturing and painting.
- General cleaning of the building common areas.
- Picking up litter with a grabber tool around the property.
- Assist the Maintenance Supervisor with projects where two persons are needed or required.
- Others duties/tasks as assigned by the Community Manager or Maintenance Supervisor.
Responsibilities: Previous maintenance experience is recommended but not required (willing to train the right person). Some interaction with residents is expected, so a courteous attitude is required. The ideal candidate must be physically fit and able to lift 50 pounds, and stand, walk, bend/stoop for a couple of hours at a time between breaks. Daily tasks should be done quickly and as efficiently as possible, with or without direct supervision.
The maintenance assistant is responsible for punching a daily time card. Must maintain a pleasant working relationship with residents, and be discreet in conversations regarding Canyon Estates business.
Compensation is $21.00 per hour for the probation period of 90 days, after that a raise of $1 per hour.
