Position Overview:

As the Lead Gardener, you will play a critical role in overseeing the care and maintenance of gardens, landscapes, and outdoor spaces. You will be responsible for leading a team of gardeners and collaborating with clients to ensure their vision for their green spaces comes to life. If you have a deep understanding of horticulture, strong leadership skills, and a passion for sustainable gardening practices, we would love to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee daily garden maintenance operations, including planting, pruning, mulching, fertilizing, and watering.

Lead, train, and motivate a team of gardeners to ensure high-quality work and adherence to project deadlines.

Develop and implement garden care schedules and seasonal plans tailored to specific plants and environments.

Work closely with clients to assess their needs, offer expert advice, and ensure satisfaction with the work performed.

Manage inventory and ensure the proper care of gardening tools, equipment, and supplies.

Monitor plant health and diagnose any issues related to pests, diseases, or environmental stressors.

Ensure that all gardening work is performed in a sustainable, eco-friendly manner.

Maintain accurate records of tasks, plant health, and other relevant information for clients.

Assist with new garden designs, installations, and plant selection as needed.

Requirements:

Proven experience as a gardener, horticulturist, or in a similar role, with at least 3 years of experience.

Previous leadership or supervisory experience in a garden or landscaping setting is a plus.

Strong knowledge of plant species, growth cycles, and care requirements.

Familiarity with garden tools, equipment, and sustainable gardening practices.

Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Physical stamina and ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

A degree or certification in horticulture, landscaping, or a related field is preferred.

A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are required.
