ABOUT US: At Totem Lake Auto Care, we pride ourselves on delivering exceptional automotive repair and maintenance services. Our team is dedicated to providing top-notch customer service and reliable solutions to keep our clients’ vehicles running smoothly. We’re looking for a skilled and motivated Auto Mechanic to join our team. We do a lot of domestic particularly Fords, as well as a lot of Toyota and Honda. But we get a mix of everything.
JOB DESCRIPTION: You will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of vehicles. Your role will involve working on both domestic and foreign models, ensuring each vehicle meets safety and performance standards.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform routine maintenance and inspections on vehicles, including oil changes, tire rotations, and brake services.
Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues using diagnostic tools and equipment.
Repair and replace defective parts and components such as engines, transmissions, and exhaust systems.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Stay updated with the latest automotive technology and repair techniques.
QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certification in automotive technology is preferred.
Proven experience as an auto mechanic or in a similar role.
Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and repair equipment.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Excellent communication skills and customer service orientation.
Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
PREFERED SKILLS:
ASE certification or similar industry credentials.
Experience with hybrid or electric vehicles.
Knowledge of advanced diagnostic software and tools.
