Ballard based General Contractor looking for an Apprentice Carpenter to join our growing team! We have consistent work in the North Seattle area, with jobs booked out until 2025. At Blue Water Design Build we focus on all phases of single-family remodeling, and new construction. We offer a competitive salary and are looking for someone who is wanting to move up within the company. The ideal candidate for this position has 2 years of construction experience in either residential remodels or new construction, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and enjoys seeing a project from start to finish. Our team recently won a Rex award for Kitchen of the Year, and we pride ourselves on client satisfaction.
This position is full time Monday through Friday 7am- 3pm, with NO weekend or after-hours work required. We respect a good work life balance for our crew! Salary is $30-45/ hr DOE
Employment Requirements:
MUST HAVE CARPENTRY EXPERIENCE
You must have your OWN reliable transportation AND a VALID WASHINGTON State Driver’s License.
Have your own standard carpentry tools; Nail Gun, Compressor, Claw hammer, tape measure, utility knife, screw drivers, carpenter square etc.
Speak English proficiently (Spanish is added plus!)
Must be a team player, willing to learn and take direction, and possess problem solving skills
Ability to pass a drug test
Motivation to work hard to become our next Foreman
Job Responsibilities:
Show up on time and ready to work
Assist Lead Carpenter in building decks, interior walls, hanging doors, installing millwork, framing walls, etc.
Working on ladders and roofs
Ability to follow directions and work efficiently on your own
Use of various hand and power tools
