Technicians with a desire to learn can use their existing experience and gain new skills to become proficient in all aspects of Reverse Osmosis (RO) Desalination Equipment, working on service and installation projects on cruise ships, large commercial fishing vessels and shore based plants, locally and worldwide.

In the marine business for over 25 years, we moved our production facility to enable our continued growth and are looking for new talent to join our experienced team. With opportunities to work in a local production facility and periodically in international locations, this is a unique opening for a dynamic career.

Ideal candidate may have worked previously worked as heavy equipment mechanic / diesel mechanic / auto mechanic / auto technician / automotive mechanic / automotive technician / marine technician / marine engineer / marine equipment technician / marine mechanic / boat technician.

Duties:

Shop work will involve:

Working with a crew in the construction and repairs of equipment.

Learning how we operate while being trained to repair and troubleshoot as a company representative in the field.

Field work will involve:

Traveling with crew to international ports to board and travel with cruise ships while completing/commissioning installations of pre-fabricated systems.

Traveling independently to complete maintenance work on in-service equipment

Requirements:

Previous mechanical troubleshooting experience

Ability to follow instructions

Ability to lift and carry items as required of a technician with mechanical equipment

Commitment to excellence and respect to fellow crew and customers

Criminal background check required to confirm eligibility for international travel

Travel is approximately 20% of the job.

Pre-Employment and random drug testing

Preferred:

Experience with marine industry

Experience with troubleshooting mechanical and electrical equipment

Hourly Wage $24-$35 Hourly DOE

Overtime pay at 1.5x base pay

All travel related work days are paid for minimum 12 hours/day

One week of travel = 40 hours regular time + 44 hours overtime
