Duties/Responsibilities:
Assist in performing firefighting inspections on board ships
Learn and Understand the “Scope of Work” for all inspections.
Utilize smart device applications to manage / schedule inspection documentation.
Complete all required paperwork and upload to database.
Document required deficiencies and items required for repair.
Manage customer expectations to maintain excellent customer relations.

Qualifications:
Prior Marine/Offshore Fire Protection Experience a plus, but not required - this is an entry level position
Good mechanical and electrical skills
High quality communication skills
Knowledge of basic safety standards with the ability to learn industry standards.
Self-motivated to learn codes and regulations associated with marine fire protection.
Effective customer service and communication skills.
Detail oriented and strong problem-solving skills.
Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing.
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
Working knowledge of test equipment.
Strong work ethic and integrity.
Ability to work on tablet/phone-based applications.
Ability to lift and move equipment and tools with assistance weighing up to 100 lbs.
Good time-management skills.
Qualifications
Other:
MUST have minimum high school diploma/GED
MUST have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
Must be able to work full time hours, with the possibility of unusual schedule hours as needed, along with overtime hours as needed, sometimes on short notice.
Ability to travel regularly, including international travel
Must be able to gain clearance to enter government work sites
Valid US Passport or ability to obtain passport once hired
Hours are full time, Monday through Friday, 8am to 4:30pm plus overtime as needed
Overtime and out-of-town / international travel as needed will be mandatory on certain occasions, and may be with little to no notice. There is travel required with this position, one to two weeks at a time, and candidates must have the ability to travel on short notice. Some travel locations include Guam, Philippines, Thailand, South Korea, Dubai, Florida, Alaska, Oregon, California, Alabama, etc.

COMPENSATION:
$23 per hour to start
