We are a well-established residential remodeling company, searching for a journeyman finish carpenter to help facilitate the on-site responsibilities of our projects, and assist in passing along the associated skills and knowledge to new apprentice carpenters.
Typical responsibilities include:
-Understanding and interpreting plans, elevations, sections and details.
-Planning and executing the layout and installation of interior millwork and casework installation, from start to finish.
-Communicating with project architects and engineers to clarify details
-Teaching apprentice carpenters in most aspects of rough and finish carpentry (such as how to layout and square foundations and decks, standard framing details, installation of windows and doors, layout and installation of cabinets/other interior millwork and casework, etc).
Requirements for Application:
-Either/Or: 3 years of formal trade experience with an emphasis on finish carpentry, or 5 years of fine woodworking experience (hobby is ok).
-2 references
-Reliable transportation (truck is a plus and qualifies for gas card, mileage reimbursement, and maintenance assistance).
-Ability to work well with others
-Ability to communicate using cell phone and email reliably during work hours.
-Ability to work on your feet for 6-8 hours daily.
-Ability to lift 40lbs
Our company is based out of Everett, but most of our work is based in and around the Seattle area and the Eastside.
