As we expand, we’re looking for a Project Manager who can oversee complex projects, ensure client satisfaction, and drive profitability.
Job Summary:
The Project Manager is responsible for planning, scheduling, and executing projects to successful completion. Sales will provide detailed budgets for projected labor hours and materials, and the PM’s role is to ensure the job is completed on or under budget while maintaining quality and customer satisfaction. This position requires strong organizational skills, the ability to interpret plans, and experience working with clients, inspectors, engineers, and architects. Proficiency with BuilderTrend is essential for tracking progress, managing records, and controlling costs.
Key Responsibilities:
Own the budget – track actual labor and materials against the detailed projections provided by sales, ensuring projects are completed on or under budget.
Develop and manage project schedules to ensure timely and efficient job completion.
Read and interpret construction plans, specifications, and contracts.
Coordinate with clients, inspectors, engineers, and architects to ensure smooth communication.
Use BuilderTrend to track job progress, manage change orders, and document costs.
Identify and address potential issues before they impact schedule or budget.
Maintain high-quality standards, enforce safety compliance, and resolve job site challenges.
Work closely with the operations team to allocate crews and equipment efficiently.
Ensure positive outcomes for all stakeholders—clients, crews, and the company’s bottom line.
Requirements:
5+ years of experience in project management within construction, preferably in asphalt, concrete, or excavation.
Strong ability to read plans, manage budgets, and control costs.
Proven track record of bringing projects in on time and under budget.
Experience working with clients, inspectors, engineers, and architects.
Proficiency in BuilderTrend software or similar project management software.
Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to job sites as needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience managing multiple simultaneous projects.
Knowledge of local permitting and inspection processes.
OSHA 30 certification.
