We are looking for a professional who is ready to take on the challenge and step into the role of an Electrical Estimator.
JOB SUMMARY:
The Estimators’ responsibilities include analyzing plans, bills of quantities and other project documentation to estimate costs. Research, source, negotiate and obtain the best price and quote from suppliers and subcontractors.
Responsibilities:
Analyze customer RFQs and prepare accurate, detailed bid proposals on time
Determine cost estimates in accordance with company procedures for construction to include cost of labor, required equipment, materials, and any other costs that may affect the project
Work with other team members and vendors to obtain acceptable quotes from suppliers for required materials (raw materials, tooling, etc.)
Document cost estimates and communicate estimate details effectively both internally and externally
Work with existing estimating tools, methods and databases to produce complex bid packages and identify opportunities for improvement
Contact customers and/or vendors to resolve questions about contracts, purchase orders, engineering drawings, or specifications
Actively promote process improvement and provide cost reduction guidance
Other tasks and duties may be assigned from time to time
Qualifications:
Previous Electrical Estimating experience
Accubid Experience is a huge plus
Must be able to understand and interpret complex drawings and specifications
Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
Knowledge of Microsoft Office
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Able to complete assigned tasks with minimal supervision
Effective teamwork and interpersonal skills
