Roddan Industrial is and electrical contractor seeking full time Electrical Estimator. Candidate must have proven experience in the electrical industry. The Estimator will be a primary member of the Electrical Estimating Team who will have responsibility for the creation of budgets and estimates for all electrical disciplines. Estimating tasks will primarily be performed remote with the exception of sidewalks and shop visits for progress updates. Commission pay will be considered based on level of experience.
Responsibilities
Perform quantity takeoffs, maintain subcontractor/ supplier database, determine labor pricing, and solicit material pricing and subcontractor input to meet project requirements
Review project plans, requirements and specifications and prepare questions requiring additional information or clarification (RFIs)
Prepare scopes of work
Prepare preliminary job schedules
Post estimate value engineering
Attend job-walks as needed
Determine labor and construction equipment costs
Review and audit all preliminary quotes and pre-bid estimates with Sr. Estimator
Assist in turnover briefings with proposed jobsite staff after bid award
Submit requisitions for purchase of non-common materials.
Maintain good relationship with suppliers and subcontractors.

Experience with electrical estimating software (Accubid), automated takeoff software (Live Count), and Bluebeam.
