We consider our Handyman Manager a key role in this process. This a great position for someone who has experience managing residential construction that wants to work for a growing company!

Gaspar’s is looking for a top performer, experienced construction manager to manage our Handyman division. This position will manage a team of construction professionals ,overseeing day to day operations of projects. The position is responsible for ensuring that our Handyman projects are completed on time, on budget, with top quality work and happy clients. This position reports to the Head of Production.

Responsibilities include:

1) Responsible for all operations of Handyman Division

2) Track project budgets to ensure profitability and train staff to do the same.

3) Perform feasibility visits, write estimates and sell small to medium size jobs into Handyman

4) Act as Production Manager for small to medium sized projects with subcontractors .

5) Coach, mentor and support field staff, ensuring we are producing at or above expected profit margin with top quality work.

6) Keep updated of construction knowledge and practices, and train staff as necessary.

7) Attend sub walkthroughs, weekly client meetings, and lead weekly staff meetings.

8) Hiring and terminations, as well as performing annual reviews of immediate direct reports.

9) Work independently

Required Experience:

1) Construction management: 5- 7 years

2) Personnel and public relations skills: 3-5 years

3) Management systems and practices implementation: 3-5 years.

4) Residential Construction experience: 7 years.

Required Qualifications:

1) A strong leader with excellent work ethic who can motivate and create an environment of trust amongst coworkers and subordinates.

2) A solid and thorough understanding of the residential remodeling industry.

3) Able to pass a drug and background check, have a WA state driver’s license and valid auto insurance.

4) Proficient in Word, Excel, experience w/ Microsoft Access and experience with Builder Trend

5) Able to work well with others and communicate with various personalities and backgrounds.

6) Able to instruct others and provide constructive feedback.

7) A strong work ethic.

8) An ability to work independently and hold self-accountable for results and performance
