Position Requirements:
Install and anchor new equipment for security purposes. Performs work in the repair and installation of hardware and software related to locking devices, digital locks or keying systems including electronic access control systems
Provide knowledge and support other team members and mentor locksmith trainees
Operate a variety of equipment, tools, and machinery
Maintain a variety of records and files including comprehensive records of lock locations, and records of work orders and inventories.
Provide assistance to other personnel as necessary; may lead other team members
Operate a company vehicle to obtain parts and drive to job site locations to perform work
Ensure that the company runs with legality and conformity to established regulations
Initial Qualifications:
- Education and Experience: High School or equivalent certification from a college or technical school or completion of a trade school apprenticeship program.
- Washington State Driver’s License and proven good driving record
- Experience: 1-3 years of Locksmith experience in a commercial industrial or facilities operations setting
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Working Conditions:
Methods, materials, tools, and equipment used in locksmithing.
Applicable laws, codes, rules, and regulations.
Follow Appropriate safety precautions and procedures.
Record-keeping techniques.
Perform journey-level maintenance work in the repair and maintenance of locks and related parts.
Operate a variety of tools and equipment related to the locksmith trade.
Work from drawing, sketches, plans and specifications. And maintain related records.
Maintain tools and equipment in clean working condition.
Establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with others.
Observe health and safety regulations.
Observe legal and defensive driving practices.
