Parts Specialist

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Parts Specialist to join our team. As a Parts Specialist, you will be responsible for managing the inventory, sourcing and purchasing parts, and providing exceptional customer service. This is a key role in our organization that requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and knowledge of automotive parts.

Responsibilities:

Source parts from various suppliers to ensure availability and competitive pricing

Price and sell parts to customers, service technicians, service advisors both in-person and over the phone

Provide exceptional customer service by assisting customers or service staff with their parts needs and inquiries

Process purchase orders and manage the delivery of parts

Assist in keeping parts department clean and professional.

Record all sales (including lost sales) and/or customer transactions using Company provided systems/tools and guidelines.

Take a proactive approach to inventory control by assisting and or reporting discrepancies.

Maintain accurate inventory control by conducting regular stock counts and reconciling discrepancies

Ensure internal and external customers receive the correct parts in a timely manner.

Receive, ship, and store parts as needed in accordance with DOT local, state, and federal guidelines.

Negotiate with suppliers to secure favorable pricing and terms

Proactively study and stay current on industry and product information.

Mark and store parts in stockroom according to prearranged system and assist with cycle count duties.

Follow all safety rules and regulations while performing work assignments and adhere to all policies and procedures as specified in company manuals and as directed in the employee handbook.

Conduct self in the presence of customers and community so as to present a professional image.

Proactively seek and participate in available company-sponsored training, in an effort to develop and advance knowledge base and skill set

Maintain a positive and professional working relationship with peers, management, and support resources, with a constant commitment to teamwork and exemplary customer service.

Perform all other duties as assigned by management in a professional and efficient manner.

Collaborate with other departments within the dealership to ensure efficient operations

Coordinate logistics for incoming and outgoing parts shipments

Qualifications:

- 5 Years parts dept experience needed.

- Previous experience in a similar role as a Parts Specialist or automotive parts sales, 2-5 years experience.

- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

- Strong negotiation skills when dealing with suppliers

- Proficient in using inventory management systems.

- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment

- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in record keeping
