By Design Men's salon is exactly as the name states, we focus and specialize our services towards men. And so should the lessee. While the focus is on guys, if someone wants a haircut, in a male centric environment, we will serve ALL.Without question!
The vibe is highly professional/casual with either jazz or blues playing at all times. Tv's are typically on sports and the sound is always off. Great, insightful conversation (when appropriate, not everyone likes to be chatted up) is the focus. The occasional F-bomb gets dropped; we don't have to repent. I am fascinated seeing things evolve and therefore the space is periodically changing in subtle ways. Recent additions of photo art that a client shot, we purchased and had everything matted and framed. He's already sold a couple more to other clients.
The location, while it has 45K cars a day go by, it is NOT a walk-in spot. The building is unique and was purpose built for light industrial over 60 years ago as a machine shop. The space measures 690 square feet, with bathroom, changing room and laundry facility. So, it's not a huge space and its very important individual spaces are always well kept and no strong food odors. Lessee would have above average service durations, such as men's haircuts that average 45 minutes. Conversations only in English. No strong chemicals allowed, such as perms or smoothing/straightening systems.
The base lease includes the following:
-Reserved parking spot for your vehicle
-Full facilities, includes Wi-Fi, washer/dryer (no personal use), storage, 24/HR access, security cameras and alarm system
-The space has a light industrial feel with Art Deco inspired elements. Male centric environment
-Towels and robes
-Refrigerator and microwave
-We provide the cleaning of bathroom and common area
-All utilities included
-Backbar for shampoo and conditioner
-Stations come with large towel warmer and counter mount magnifying ring light
-Coffee, tea, water and sodas for your clients to have. Beers/alcohol if you like to provide are up to you to supply, there's room in the fridge for storage.
Lessee responsible for ALL of their marketing, scheduling and payment processing.
Pricing is dependent on the needs/expectations of each person, $1200(base)-$1700/mo.
-Minimum 6 month lease terms with first, last and deposit at signed contract
-MUST have, CURRENT business and shop license, insurance and clients
