Job description
Our Front Desk Manager will be responsible for overseeing the efficient operations, assisting clients with membership issues and new sales. We are seeking a fitness enthusiast with a strong customer service background to be the main Front Desk person and client point of contact. This position will promote the business in-person by giving tours and communicating gym happenings, online via email, website and social networking. Front Desk staff are responsible for maintaining a high standard of cleanliness, cleaning the gym often by going above and beyond standard protocol, as well as putting weights and equipment left out back where they belong. This job requires maintaining gym equipment by oiling, wiping down and troubleshooting software, managing memberships through MindBody and Google Drive, scheduling appointments and classes, signing members in, answering telephone calls and emails regarding all questions relating to the gym’s activities and happenings.
Essential Functions:
Opening and closing duties.
Greeting and assisting members with a positive, friendly, and professional attitude.
Selling memberships and promoting products and services offered at the gym.
Answering telephone calls and emails with exact information regarding the business procedures and policies clearly and professionally.
Ensuring member information is completed, updated and filed accurately.
Handle POS credit card and cash transactions.
Basic housekeeping duties such as vacuuming, mopping, sanitizing and scrubbing equipment. Office organizing, equipment maintenance and washing, drying and folding towels.
Take photos, guide and manage social media campaigns and marketing.
Handle challenging customer service interactions with patience and professionalism.
Punctual attendance.
Ability to work independently as well as work together as a team.
Must be able to lift and carry 45 lbs+ repeatedly.
Experience:
Prefer a minimum 2 years of experience in customer service, ideally at a fitness center.
Personal Trainer or Class Instructor experience is a plus.
Basic computer skills including Microsoft Word and Excel.
Understanding of MindBody software or a willingness to learn.
Graphic Design and/or Social Media management are a plus.

We follow the recommended state guidelines to ensure a safe and clean environment for both staff and members. Protective equipment provided. HVAC with MERV-13 filtration, regular sanitizing and disinfecting performed.
