We are a small, family-owned fragrance goods business seeking enthusiastic and dependable sales associates to join our team at Pike Place Market. As a sales agent, you’ll help customers discover our cruelty-free, phthalate-free, and responsibly sourced fragrance products.
This role requires you to work in a covered, outdoor environment in all weather, stand for long periods, load and push a heavy cart, and engage with a wide range of customers in a busy environment. Strong communication skills, adaptability, and a genuine interest for handcrafted products are key.
Responsibilities
-Engage with customers and tell the story behind our handmade, small-batch candles.
-Provide product knowledge and fragrance recommendations.
-Set up and break down the booth efficiently.
-Load/unload cart with product and push it to various places in the market.
-Handle cash and digital transactions accurately using Shopify POS.
-Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming display.
-Work outdoors in all weather conditions with a positive attitude.
-Be self-directed, responsible, and proactive during slower periods and while working solo.
-Collaborate with team members and take direction when needed.
-Communicate inventory needs.
Requirements
-Reliable, punctual, and self-motivated.
-Friendly, approachable, and customer-service oriented.
-Able to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs, push/pull a 250+ lb wheeled cart.
-Comfortable working in outdoor environments year-round.
-Previous sales or customer-facing experience preferred.
-Must be 18+
