Interested in possibly being the public name and face of a startup?
Want a small side gig that might evolve into a full time position?
Willing to consider taking a risk with a tiny new company?
Are you very honest and do you have the highest integrity?
-Overview
Tiny Seattle startup is looking for someone to be a front man / front woman to be the public face of the company.
The founder is publicity shy and wants to stay focused on product development and progress with customers.
Must be comfortable being in the (online) public eye and representing the company's message as your own.
Must have the ability stay on message and answer unexpected questions while staying on message.
This is a position that requires the highest integrity and the highest mutual trust.
Responsibilities include:
helping create and manage social media posts
social media posting from your personal account
staying on message no matter what
good decision making
excellent communication skills (across a range of mediums)
thick skin - you will have fans and haters
deep belief in our mission
Obviously this position would only work if you believe in our mission (more about that below).
Social media / marketing / PR / public speaking experience all very helpful, but not required.
-Hours and Compensation
We are currently a tiny startup with very limited funds. For the first several months, compensation will be minimal (e.g. stipend level). Compensation will improve if we grow together and compensation will become generous when we succeed.
The company is based in Seattle but we are 100% remote.
Very flexible hours - most of your work, at least initially, could be done nights and weekends.
Initial work might be 5-10 hours / week and would ramp up from there as we grow.

2. A note describing yourself and explaining why you think you could be a good fit for this position.
