One of our Non-Profit clients at Robert Half is looking for a Sr. Director of Data Systems Improvement! Our client provides consulting services to child welfare systems, families, research, and more.

This role is located in Seattle, WA and will have up to 50% travel across the US to support jurisdictions and organizational developed initiatives in the development of their data use/reporting. The position is fully in-office when you are not traveling. Relocation offered if willing to move to the Seattle area.

Overview of the role: The Senior Director, Systems Improvement (SI) Data leads the Data Advocacy Team in the creation, implementation and management of the Data Advocacy work both to analyze and track for our org. the progress being made in jurisdictions based upon the data they provide or that is available publicly, and to also provide intensive consultation and technical assistance to jurisdictions, partners and direct service units (field offices and Strategic Consulting teams) in order to develop their data capacity and usage to drive system change for improved outcomes for youth and families.

Scope of role/Day to day: This person will be a part of leading their Data leaders group (around 35 people) helping them make connections with each other and creating an environment where they can communicate effectively, respond to data collection processes, get the data elements to help better understand what happens to kids and families, how to kids compare to the general population, how kids are over represented in the system, etc.

Note: Candidates don't have to know every detail of child welfare, but will have to understand at least something about those kinds of data systems or specific service data systems (human service systems like TANF economic systems, AFCARS, AMCA, Medicaid, etc.)

Requirements

Technical Must haves:
  • Master's degree preferred - can be flexible on experience/other degrees
  • 10+ years of management experience with at least 2+ years at a Sr. level
  • High-level organizational skills with setting priorities & working deadlines
  • Data & Project management experience - record keeping, proposals, contractual agreements
  • Very high-level communication/interpersonal skills
  • Predictive Analytics
  • Understanding about how to put an information system together and how it works
  • Ability to grow, train, & lead teams of Data folks
  • Nice to haves:
    • Experience in a public child welfare system - service system, healthcare,
    • Knowledge of national experts and data systems in data research/evaluation field - some of the major groups that play in the
    • Tableau for analysis & reporting
