Another Source’s client, Sabey Corporation is recruiting an Application Security DevOps Engineer to join their team in Tukwila, Washington.

Summary:

The Application Security DevOps Engineer will play a crucial role in integrating security practices into the DevOps processes. This individual will work closely with development, operations, and security teams to ensure that security is embedded throughout the software development lifecycle. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both application security and DevOps practices, with a passion for automation and continuous improvement. The ideal candidate will also have a strong interest in and experience with Artificial Intelligence, demonstrating the ability to innovate and integrate AI solutions into security and DevOps practices. 

Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate with various teams to integrate security into the development lifecycle. 

Design, implement, and manage security tools and processes for automated deployment pipelines. 

Conduct security assessments and code reviews to identify and mitigate vulnerabilities. 

Develop and maintain automated security testing tools. 

Monitor and respond to security incidents and vulnerabilities promptly. 

Educate and train development teams on secure coding practices and integrated security principles. 

Assist in the development and enforcement of security policies, standards, and best practices. 

Continuously evaluate and implement new security technologies, including AI-driven solutions, to enhance our security posture. 

Participate in threat modeling and risk assessment activities. 

Explore and recommend AI-based security tools and methodologies to improve threat detection and response. 

Requirements:

Associate degree in a relevant field (or equivalent experience). 

5+ years of experience in application security and DevOps roles. 

Strong understanding of secure software development practices and principles. 

Experience with continuous integration and continuous deployment tools. 

Proficiency in scripting languages for automation. 

Familiarity with cloud security and experience with major cloud platforms. 

Experience with various security testing and vulnerability management tools. 

Knowledge of health industry (HIPAA/HITECH) compliance standards and frameworks. 

Experience in health technology, operational technology, or both. 

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. 

Excellent communication and collaboration abilities. 

Relevant security certifications are a plus. 

Demonstrated experience with AI technologies and their application in cybersecurity. 

Enthusiasm for exploring and implementing innovative AI solutions in security and DevOps practices.

The anticipated annual base salary range for this position is $102,197 – $130,301 - $158,405.
