This role is for an experienced, detail-oriented and customer service focused individual that has an appreciation for well-curated design products in the categories of framed art, home & garden (including plants), body care, much of which is imported from Europe, the UK and Japan. Ideal candidates will have an appreciation for minimalistic, modern design and a keen awareness of international design trends.
Ideal Candidate will have the following:
Genuinely warm, professional, and emotionally mature - naturally driven, and a team player.
You have experience working in or with small businesses, and are willing to wear many hats.
Retail experience preferred and/or background in interior design or architecture is a plus.
You are (or become) a fan (and expert) of the brands we sell. That enthusiasm brings a level of excitement to our store that keeps customers coming back.
Core duties:
Retail floor maintenance: restocking, maintain all store displays and shelves in between customer interactions, cleaning, be the expert for all brands & products, including plantcare
Customer Service: answer questions, offer product insights, design/gift advice, assist providing the customer with an optimal shopping experience.
Cash Wrap: proficient at ringing, money transactions & providing professional looking bagging/wrapping
Art: Framing/unframing posters/prints, professional wrapping of purchased framed art, carefully packing unframed art in tubes.
Hours: varies between 20–27 per week, weekends required.
