Guardian has an immediate need for a Roving Maintenance Lead to join our experienced and committed team in the greater Seattle Metro Area and Northern Washington!

A Roving Maintenance Lead's primary role is to travel to assigned sites within the given region and perform maintenance tasks as requested by the Regional Maintenance Supervisors and/or the Director of Maintenance.

They are to support the Community Managers of their assigned sites by ensuring site safety and completion of required property maintenance necessary to maintain excellent curb appeal and the overall appearance and quality of the property/ies. This will include prioritizing and processing work orders which may include both urgent and routine maintenance of property and apartment units. This position is responsible for ensuring that all maintenance work is done in compliance with OSHA regulations, and Guardian policies and procedures. A Maintenance Lead is also responsible for coordinating with other property staff and vendors to provide outstanding customer service to the residents, provide well-timed and proactive property maintenance, safeguard the good financial health and stability of the property, and complete all required paperwork and reports on time.

Schedule: 40 hours / week, Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm.

Travel: By nature, the Roving Maintenance Lead position is a traveling position and therefore requires a high degree of flexibility with scheduling and traveling to/from various locations, as well as a reliable vehicle and valid driver's license and insurance.

Compensation: $35.00 - $37.00 / hour DOE + mileage reimbursement.

Ideal candidate: For this position, we are seeking a motivated team player who is looking to be part of a larger purpose, and has an genuine interest in the field of property management. We are looking for someone who is ready to hit the ground running each day, takes initiative and is ready to give their all to their assignments and support the property teams. Must have an eye for detail, as well as be highly communicative and professional at all times. Must have a minimum of three (3) years’ experience in property maintenance, as well as prior experience performing inspections (previous REAC inspection experience, strongly preferred!).

Minimum Qualification Requirements:

The requirements listed below are representative, but not exclusive of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.

High school diploma or GED.

At least three (3) years’ experience in property maintenance or a related field.

Basic knowledge of building trades, such as plumbing, electric, and carpentry.

Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.

Comfortable on ladders at heights of 15 feet.

Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

Ability to speak, read and write in English.

Ability to communicate effectively and in a timely manner; both verbally and in writing.

Ability to complete online and in-person company training requirements for this position within pre-determined deadlines and attend other training sessions as required.

Possess basic computer-literacy and willingness to complete regular tasks using standard computer or web-based technology.

Own or have access to a reliable, properly insured vehicle for use in business transportation needs, as well as possess a valid driver's license
