We are looking for someone who is energetic, motivated, displaying initiative daily, and able to shift gears on a dime as the business will often dictate. You will have a positive attitude and will look forward to learning more about the specific aesthetic our clients have come to expect. Although having a "degree" or "certificate" in the design field is a plus, it is not required if you can demonstrate you have an affinity for design, understand the basics, and can learn fast! This is a temporary position through the summer season and could turn into a permanent position depending on the sustained business.
The Basics:
Our day starts at 8:00am at our warehouse and ends at 5:00pm and sometimes later
Reliable, you will show up on time, leave when the job is done
Ability to take direction working with lead designers as well as work autonomously
Attention to meticulous detail and organizational skills are a must
Being a quick learner able to think on your feet
Working knowledge of computer programs and an ability to learn new software.
Working knowledge of hand tools, "do-it-yourself" home improvement skills is a plus!
Reasonably good health and able to lift 40 lbs once in a while
A smartphone with a data plan
Gmail account for access to a cloud-based company calendar and project documents
Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and proof of insurance
A reliable car or transportation to and from the warehouse.
Minimum of 18 years old
The Work:
Learn and use our web-based tracking system for inventory
Collaborate with designers in pulling items from inventory for jobs
Pack up household items including accessories, bedding, art, and tools from the warehouse
Unpack at location
Make beds, hang art, place accessories
Sweep/vacuum floors after staging and after removing a stage
Wipe down counters where needed
Restock accessories in the warehouse
Furniture assembly (occasionally)
Maintain and organize household inventory including bedding, accessories, lamps, lampshades, art
