Part-Time Bookkeeper/Office Assistant Needed Immediately
Local construction business seeks Bookkeeper/Office Assistant for part time position. The candidate must have a minimum of three years' experience using Quickbooks.
Job Summary includes but not limited to:
Accounts Payable: Maintain vendor accounts, pay bills, update sales tax rates,
prepare monthly B & O and sales tax returns.
Payroll: prepare bi-weekly payroll; maintain employee files, pay federal and state taxes, garnishments each payroll.
General: Answer office phone, open mail & distribute, filing, and other related duties
as assigned.
Required Knowledge:
Ideal candidate must have a comprehensive knowledge of QuickBooks. A construction background would be a plus. Be familiar with filing B&O / excise tax returns with Dept. of Revenue. Have the ability to calculate & file monthly and quarterly federal and state payroll taxes. Experience with processing payroll (via QuickBooks). Be proficient in full cycle A/P, reconcile bank / credit card accounts in QuickBooks. Have an understanding of Balance Sheet accounts, their function and Profit and Loss statements.
