Northwest Accounting and Financial Management is seeking a motivated, independent Admin Assistant and Office Manager/Jedi to join our team. NWAFM is a local Accounting firm that helps non-profits and other businesses manage their finances so they can focus on their mission to help others. The ideal candidate will be a congenial people-person who embraces the future office, minimizing paperwork and maximizing digital and cloud. Brings ideas and abilities for streamlining procedures and improving workflow.
Required Job Responsibilities
Work part-time (approx 15 hours per week) with light supervision to:
◦ Manage timecards and create invoices
◦ Handle Office Communication, such as respond to client inquiries, update website, message staff
◦ Help with Calendars and physical+virtual office organizing
◦ Identify methods to make practices more efficient and automated throughout company.
◦ Check PO Box and handle physical mail and email
◦ Assist with Payroll, state and local tax filings, insurance renewals, and general office compliance.
◦ Plus: Not required, but QuickBooks Online experience is a plus.
Candidate's Experience, Skills, & Qualities:
◦ Two (2) or more years' experience working as an admin/office assistant or in a similar role
◦ Organized and able to work productively with minimal supervision.
◦ Takes delight in making a checklist, getting through it, and meeting deadlines.
◦ Positive attitude and good work ethic.
◦ Outstanding communication skills; whether it be via phone, email, or in person
◦ Interest in learning bookkeeping and accounting.
◦ Seeking a single part-time job and commitment to a long-term, growing position at the company.

◦ You have a part-time job that you intend to keep and are seeking to supplement your income from a 2nd part-time job with us. This scenario will likely lead to conflict between two employers.
◦ You are remote or virtual 100% of the time. This position requires meeting in person about 1 day per week.
