General contractor and remodeling service working for clients in greater Seattle area is seeking a part-time administrative assistant. Tasks include mailing checks, sending invoices and receipts, keeping incoming mail organized, paying monthly state taxes, filing city permits, communicating with accountants, and other general business admin tasks. May also be asked to run occasional errands to Home Depot, Floor & Decor etc.

This job will be hybrid, primarily working from home with weekly check-ins at the business location, which is currently being run from the owner's house in Snohomish. During the initial training period, you will need to meet in person more frequently, 2-3 times per week, until the workflow is established and running smoothly.

Looking for someone with at least 2-3 years admin and/or bookkeeping experience. Ideally, knowledgeable about the general contracting world, or at least familiar with invoicing/estimates, etc. Previous experience working for a small business is a plus, especially if you have experience supporting a small business owner. The ideal candidate is someone with excellent communication skills, who is extremely reliable, well-organized, can expertly prioritize tasks, and is willing and able to take initiative.

Other requirements:

- Professional demeanor and presentation on the phone, over email, and in-person

- Fluent in English and comfortable talking on the phone/making phone calls

- Proficient with technology and able to troubleshoot minor issues as needed

- Able to independently problem-solve, such as when navigating confusing city websites that may require research and/or phone calls in order to complete a task

- A home office set-up with reliable internet, laptop, and access to a printer

- Access to a car and a valid driver's license

- Minimum of high-school or GED diploma

- U.S. citizenship

Hours:

Negotiable; start at 9:30/10:00 to around 3:00, Monday through Friday
