This role is critical in supporting the Everett Housing Authority's mission to create affordable housing and foster thriving communities. The position involves managing inventory control, and the efficient flow of supplies and materials essential to the agency's operations.The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, organized, and skilled in communication. They will have a strong background in inventory control, vendor relations, and procurement processes, with experience leveraging technology to streamline inventory management. A commitment to accuracy, collaboration, and adherence to regulations is essential for success in this role.ResponsibilitiesAs the Inventory Control Technician, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth flow of materials and supplies that keep our agency running effectively. From planning and organizing inventory operations to maintaining accurate records, your efforts will directly impact the efficiency and success of our operations.You'll work closely with vendors and suppliers, evaluating their performance and ensuring that the agency receives quality goods at the best value. Whether reconciling invoices, processing purchase orders, or inspecting deliveries, you'll ensure accuracy and compliance with established standards. Keeping the inventory room organized and maintaining proper stock levels will be part of your daily rhythm, along with conducting annual inventory counts and addressing any discrepancies. You'll also contribute to the development of inventory control policies and procedures, leveraging your insights to improve processes and ensure alignment with the agency's goals.Collaboration is a key aspect of this role. You'll partner with accounts payable staff, maintenance staff, and vendors, and support the procurement team in advancing the agency's mission. Your ability to track purchasing trends, manage databases, and provide timely, accurate information will make you an invaluable asset to the team.EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:A High School Diploma or GED;Two years of paid experience performing office work, including administrative support work;Two years of paid computer work experience with Office 365, focused on ExcelREQUIRED KNOWLEDGE OF/SKILL IN: Excellent composition, grammar, spelling and math skills;Creative problem solvingUnderstanding and communicating clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing in English.
