Located in the heart of downtown Bremerton, Bremerton Foodline is a vital nonprofit dedicated to reducing hunger and supporting self-sufficiency. Our busy food bank serves more than 500 households per week, and as Kitsap County’s Redistribution Organization, we reallocate over 2 million pounds of food annually to partner food banks, shelters, and meal programs.

About the Role
We are seeking a systems thinker who thrives on solving problems, improving processes, and leading others with kindness and confidence. The Food Bank Coordinator manages the daily operations of the food bank - ensuring efficient food distribution, excellent client service, and smooth volunteer engagement. This role reports to the Program Manager.

Key Responsibilities
Food Distribution & Inventory Management - Oversee inventory, ensure equitable distribution, and maintain food safety standards.
Client Services - Create a welcoming, respectful environment for clients.
Volunteer Coordination - Recruit, train, and lead volunteer teams of 10-20 people.
Community Partnerships - Work with partner agencies and organizations.
Facility Management - Ensure the food bank is safe, clean, and organized.
Record Keeping & Reporting - Maintain accurate records and reports.
Compliance & Safety - Follow food safety regulations and organizational policies.
Leadership & Communication - Inspire teamwork and share information effectively.
Qualifications
Required:
Ability to lift 25+ lbs repeatedly
Basic computer proficiency
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Excellent organizational, multitasking, and time management abilities
Resourceful, proactive problem-solver
Flexibility for occasional evenings and weekends
High school diploma or GED
Preferred:
Fluency in Spanish
Experience with warehouse equipment (e.g., pallet jack)
Knowledge of food safety standards
College degree
