Job Description:
To ensure that inventory is readily available at all times and within budget.
Develop purchasing strategy with goals which includes managing purchasing parameters within budget constraints.
Manage vendor performance with a strong emphasis on quality, lead times and fill rate.
A systems oriented forward thinker for purchasing process improvement to assist product delivery .
Develop and implement purchasing improvement plans.
Create and manage PO's.
Collaborate with production, engineering and sales on part part delivery and availability (inventory update)
Entering Bill of Materials for sub kits into ERP
Qualifications:
Over 5 years of Purchasing practices and procedures.
Must have ERP, MRP and advanced Excel - Pivot tables/Macros
Excellent verbal and written skills
Excellent negotiating skills.
Process oriented to improve purchasing processes mind set.
Excellent people skills and works well in a collaborative environment.
A mechanical aptitude is a must.
