Job Description:
The general duties of an employee at Pride of the West, Inc. include, but are not limited to, the following food manufacturing activities:
Light Duty Activities:
Manually loading pouches (approximate wt. 1 lb.) into cartons, packing cartons or pouches into master cases, palletizing master cases (wt. 12-25 lbs.) for shipping.
Heavy Duty Activities:
Filling Mixer - Dumping 30-40, 50 lb. bag into a waist high hopper in a 30 minute time period. This filling process may occur 3-4 time per day.
Stacking 50 lb. bags - Must be able to lift 50 lb. bag to top layer of finished pallet. (Approximately 48” high)
Forklift able totes: Must be able to push around 900 lbs. totes that have wheels.
Line Set-up:
Employee must have some basic mechanical ability to perform production line set-up and minor machine adjustments.
(These are not complicated, but employee must be teachable)
Clean-up:
Sweeping, vacuuming, blowing down equipment, washing, utensils, emptying garbage cans & other general clean-up activities.
