We are looking for a Pre-press Operator to join our Renton team.Note: This is a union job and the candidate will be required to join the union. The Pre-press Operator is responsible for evaluating, correcting, preparing images and texts per customer and KP requirements for digital imaging devices and computer to plate output for offset press.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Prepares, manipulates and corrects supplied electronic files for digital and offset production output, including editing, proofing, trapping, impositions, and color correction-utilizing a MAC platform.Interprets job tickets accurately so jobs are completed per customer's requirements.Helps develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) for job related functions, processes, and/or recommend method efficiencies and process improvementsOther duties and special projects as assigned. High School diploma or general education degree (GED).2 years' experience with basic printing and color management.2 years' experience working in a Mac environment using Illustrator and Page-Maker.Familiar with current prep and design software suites and workflows in Digital and platingStrong technical creative talent.Handles multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment uses self-management skills to plan, organize and prioritize work activities to use time efficiently.Reviews all work carefully for completeness and accuracy.Strong verbal, written and listening skills; ability to read, understand and follow SOP's, supervisor instructions and safety, security and quality procedures; clearly communicates detailed instructions. Interpersonal skills to get along with employees, maintain confidentiality, and remain open to new ideas.Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner; offers solutions.
