Position: Manual Machinist Technician

Department: Machine Shop

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:30am – 4:30pm

Starting Hourly Pay: $25 - $45

JOB SUMMARY:

The Manual Machinist job opportunity that is available will be primarily responsible for running a manual lathe and Bridgeport style mill - building hydraulic cylinder components and other miscellaneous parts per sample or drawing. Our company is on the fast track to growth and would like someone with endurance, fresh ideas and integrity.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Machining hydraulic cylinder parts such as rods, pistons, head-glands and tubes per sample or drawing.

Weld hydraulic component parts such as tubes and rods.

Follow all company procedures and policies with a positive attitude.

Follow all safety and security policies and regulations.

Tear-down and assemble hydraulic cylinders as needed.

Report to work on time and in a regular and consistent basis.

JOB EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:

5 years of related machine shop experience.

High school Diploma or equivalent.

Strong machining abilities and basic math skills.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

This person will be frequently exposed to airborne particles and moving mechanical parts. Common sense and self-awareness are important to keep yourself and others safe.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly active and this position requires the ability to stand, walk, bend, and kneel for an extended period of time. The employee must also frequently lift and/or move items up to 50 lbs.
