JOB DESCRIPTION
Wire Harness Assembler
Position Description:
Selects wire of specified color code and size; route accordingly
Bundles wire together as required at designated points to form harness, manually and using tie wrap gun.
Terminates ends of wires to components, plugs, or terminals using handheld crimping device or appropriate tool.
Apply wire harness protection, such as loom or electrical tape as required by item.
Demonstrates proper use of basic hand tools including but not limited to: heat gun, hand crimpers (manual and battery operated), wire strippers, power screwdrivers, measuring tape.
Completes all necessary paperwork relating to the building of the harness systems.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Ability to adjust actions in relation to others actions, and to give full attention to what others are saying.
Understanding of measurements using a ruler or tape measure
Written skills required to complete documents and forms.
Ability and willingness to work overtime on short notice is required; work schedule variations occur sporadically due to customer demand and should be expected.
Ability to adapt to changes with a positive attitude.
Demonstrate high level of creativity; continually looks for way to improve and increase quality and efficiency.
Exhibit predictable and consistent daily attendance.
Sense of urgency; Ability to meet harness build time requirements as set by management.

Working Conditions:
Warehouse setting
Full time position
Monday through Thursday, 6:00am to 4:30pm
Stands throughout the day to accomplish tasks.
Manual dexterity used regularly with repetitive finger motion.
Frequently lifting up to 25 pounds; occasionally up to 75 pounds
Other conditions include frequent reaching, stretching, pushing, pulling, crouching or stooping.
Specific vision abilities include close and distance vision, the ability to identify colors, hand/eye coordination, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: From $17.51 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week.
