Vacancy caducado!

American Rifle Company seeks a highly competent and diligent team member with whom existing team members can from synergistic and meaningful professional relationships stemming from the values of honesty, integrity, work ethic, independence, and creative expression.

Your duties as a team member and as a good human include at least the following:

1. Thinking. This is not just your most important responsibility as a human being, it is your means of survival.

2. Working. Yes, you will be expected to work. Stay off your phone because we are not willing to pay for anything that you can do on your phone.

3. Take pride in your work. Be honest and curious, and conduct yourself with integrity.

4. Come up with better ways of doing things.

5. Stay safe, healthy, and strong. Some of the work is physical and will require you to handle objects as heavy as 120 pounds. But unless you are a hulk, we do not expect you to do this by yourself. Ask for help and you will get it.

Our immediate needs require you to be responsible for the following:

1. An expert level understand of modern metal cutting and associated tools. You must be able to select the correct tool for an application and know how to use it. You must have an extensive awareness of the product lines offered by leading providers of tooling.

2. Setup and operate Okuma LT2000EX CNC lathes or similar twin-spindle, twin-turret CNC lathes and a Tsugami CNC Swiss turning center. The setups are rather sophisticated and make extensive use of the machine's capabilities. You must be able to follow a safety protocol that prevents damaging the machines. We use Gibbs CAM to program these machines so experience with that software is a huge plus.

3. Once the machines are setup and running, you will maintain the production process and ensure that parts meet specifications. You will measure parts using go and no-go gauges and instruments such as caliper, micrometers, digital height gauges, etc. You will perform regular functional checks of parts within assemblies.

4. In the event that the turning processes do not require your immediate attention, you will find something else that is productive to do. Common tasks often include loading a CNC machining center, deburring and inspecting parts, preparing parts for shipment to vendors, cleanup and organization, etc. If you feel that some tasks are beneath you, please do not respond to this ad.

5. Maintain the machines. If they need oil or coolant, well by now I hope you get the idea.

In general, we are looking for a person that does not need training and that can work independently and productively. Ideally, we would like someone who is capable of originating a production quality manufacturing processes without assistance; a guy that can literally do anything in a modern machine shop, and we are willing to pay for your talents. We value high levels of expertise with CAD and CAM systems. If you think that your experiences and talents exceed our requirements, you're probably a good fit. We have a long list of projects in development that must be put into production. If you enjoy that sort of thing, a job American Rifle might be what you're looking for.

You will be working with other highly skilled people who are capable of evaluating your abilities. If you're a good fit for the job, American Rifle is a fun place to work because you won't be subjected to big company bureaucracy and back-stabbing politics, or other types of corporate bullshit.

There is opportunity for overtime and more responsibility if you have the right attitude and aptitude. Experience will come if you have those two things.

Do not apply if you use illicit drugs or have substance abuse problems. Smoking is discouraged but if you need nicotine to keep you focused, well then, we get it.

Due of the nature of our work, we cannot hire people with a history of criminal behavior. A background check will be conducted.

We are NOT looking for someone who just wants a job. Instead, we are looking for someone who wants to work. Good luck.
