JOB DESCRIPTION
We are seeking a talented and motivated Associate Trial Attorney to join our growing team. As an Trial Attorney with NextLaw, you must be committed to and aligned with our Vision and Mission, as well as our Core Values. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a variety of criminal (and eventually, personal injury) cases, gain valuable experience, and make a real difference in the lives of our clients.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Conduct legal research and analysis
Draft legal documents, including motions, briefs, and pleadings
Assist in case preparation and strategy
Represent clients in court proceedings
Sign up prospective clients, sharing “on call” duty with other attorneys and team members
Collaborate with senior attorneys and support staff
BASE REQUIREMENTS
Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
Admission to the Washington and local bar
1 to 3 years of experience in criminal defense (prosecution experience preferred)
Strong research, writing, and communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Passion for criminal law and advocating for clients
COMPENSATION
We offer a competitive salary commensurate with experience, along with benefits and opportunities for professional development and growth within the firm.
Position is full-time, salaried. Annual compensation ranges from $100,000 – 120,000+ (base plus incentives) depending on experience, and even more important – HUSTLE.
