ASSOCIATE ATTORNEY (KIRKLAND, WA)

Gillaspy Rhode Faddis & Benn LLC is seeking an Associate Attorney for our Kirkland, Washington office. Job Type: Seeking 3+ years’ experience. Position is full time, in-office work schedule Monday-Friday. After 60 days, a hybrid work schedule may be supported.

Pay: $90,000.00-$115,000.00 (depending on experience) with a guaranteed bonus structure if/when billable hours are met.

Responsibilities:

As an Associate Attorney with GRFB, you can plan to be responsible for working with partners to represent our clients, who are insurance companies, in various legal matters including litigation, arbitration, and settlement negotiations.

Participate in depositions, mediations, hearings, and trials as necessary

Prepare and draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery requests, and other legal documents

Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to develop effective defense strategies

Collaborate with internal teams, including claims adjusters and underwriters, to evaluate and manage claims

Engage in settlement negotiations and alternative dispute resolution processes

Qualifications:

Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school

Active Washington license required

Active Oregon license preferred

1+ years’ experience practicing insurance defense law and/or civil litigation

Experience in any of the following: construction defect litigation, professional malpractice, premises liability, personal injury, and/or products liability strongly preferred

Excellent research, analytical and problem-solving skills

Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities and a desire to communicate promptly and professionally

Proven ability to manage one’s caseload and work independently while maintaining exceptional time management skills.
