Are you seeking a hands-on career path with excellent earning potential and significant opportunities for professional growth? Do you thrive in an outdoor environment and enjoy physical work? We are a local, premier, well-established tree care provider serving the Seattle and Greater Eastside, and are looking for dedicated individuals to join our team. No prior experience in tree care is required. We provide comprehensive training to build your skills from the ground up in the rewarding field of Arboriculture.

About Us:

We are committed to the highest standards of safety, quality, and professionalism in arboriculture. We invest in state-of-the-art equipment and, more importantly, in our people. Our company culture fosters teamwork, continuous learning, and a deep respect for safety protocols. We offer a stable work environment where motivated individuals can develop a long-term, skilled trade career.

The Opportunity: Entry-Level Ground Support

This foundational role is your entry point into the tree care industry. As an Entry-Level Ground Support team member, you will be integral to the daily success and safety of our tree crews. You will work directly alongside experienced experienced tree Grounds/Rigging specialists and skilled tree climbers, learning essential ground operations and safety procedures through our structured, on-the-job training program.

Primary Responsibilities:

- Assist with job site setup, hazard recognition, and establishing safe work zones.

- Provide critical ground support to climbers, including rope management and tool handling.

- Learn to safely operate and maintain essential industry equipment such as wood chippers, stump grinders, and chainsaws under expert guidance.

- Assist with rigging operations as directed by the crew leader.

- Ensure meticulous cleanup of job sites, leaving client properties pristine.

- Rigorously adhere to all company and industry safety standards (OSHA, ANSI Z133) and properly utilize all provided Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

- Perform routine checks and basic maintenance on tools and equipment.

- Actively participate in daily safety briefings, tailgate talks, and ongoing skills training sessions.

- Help perform vehicle and equipment inspections/daily checks

Candidate Profile:

Essential Attributes (Required):

- A strong, inherent work ethic combined with unwavering reliability and punctuality.

- Full-time availability and commitment.

- The physical capability to perform demanding tasks consistently throughout the workday, in diverse weather conditions (includes lifting/carrying up to 50 lbs repeatedly, bending, pulling brush, extensive walking/standing).

- An absolute commitment to safety – for yourself, your crew, and the public.

- Excellent listening skills, the ability to follow complex instructions accurately, and ask clarifying questions.

- A positive, team-oriented attitude with strong verbal communication skills.

- Eagerness to learn, receive feedback, and develop new skills within the trade.

- Valid Driver's License and/or reliable transportation to our main yard in Redmond, WA.

- Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug screening.

- Minimum age of 18 years.

Advantageous Qualifications:

- Possession of a Commercial Driver's License (CDL - Class A or B).
