Aplica ya

Buoy Water Club is my brother and I's self-service kayak and paddleboard rental station business. We have locations in Austin, TX and Santa Barbara, CA, this will be our first in Seattle.

About Us:

At Buoy Water Club, we are on a mission to make being on the water a daily practice. We want to remove the barriers of getting out on the water. No longer is it necessary to own, transport or have storage for your kayak or paddle board, we are welcoming all people to utilize our hourly rentals and monthly membership to have equipment to use on Lake Union at any time.

Our lockers are built from marine grade aluminum, we provide premium equipment, and the equipment is accessible through our mobile app. But more importantly we are looking to foster and support a community on the water through our Buoy lockers.

About the Role:

We are looking for part time support. We are looking for someone to be in charge of the Buoy locker on the shores of Lake Union(not a bad place to work!). This role will be in charge of resolving issues with the locker and gear, you must be handy and familiar with using tools. This role is very similar to being a property manager - there will be stretches of nothing and times of more work. We want to provide a reliable experience so users have trust the lockers and equipment will be in good order and available when they want to use it. A day of work could look like going out to the locker to top the paddle boards off with air, repair a board that got damaged and replace a waterproof phone case that was lost.

This person must be able to respond to issues promptly but in a time that fits within their schedule. They must have their own transportation. This person will report directly to the owners. The job will be seasonal.

Time commitment:

Fall Season(September - October) - A regular maintenance visit every 2 weeks.

Winter Season(November - March) - Monthly visit at most.

Spring(April - May) - A regular maintenance visit every 2 weeks.

Summer Season(June - August) - Weekly maintenance visit.

Each visit will take an average of 1 hour. Maintenance outside of planned visits only when needed.

Payment:

We will pay a rate per visit, and an hourly rate for extra work.

Duties:

Ensure the locker and gear is clean.

Repair or replace damaged or lost equipment.

Resolve onsite problems submitted by customers.

Charge and provide necessary onsite support for the lock.

Receive shipments of goods and install new equipment.

Requirements:

Communicate effectively and frequently

Provide reliable support

Give constructive feedback

Be resourceful

Be responsible with managing your time efficiently

Be familiar with using tools

Must have a smartphone to access the locker

Enjoy the work and take great care of the locker
