Job Overview - Building Maintenance Technician: $25-$27 per hour
Downey & Sons Property Care has an immediate opening for two full-time Maintenance and Remodel Technicians to join our experienced and committed team.
Our work takes us all over the greater Puget Sound area from Pierce County to Skagit County, with most of the work being performed in the Seattle Metro Area. We currently service several property management companies and condo associations with portfolios of over 6000 doors, including developers, and homeowners. We are an equal opportunity employer.
Building Maintenance Technicians are responsible for performing a variety of work; including but not limited to carpentry, electrical, painting, plumbing, and/or appliance repairs. There is a probationary period of 90 calendar days.

Must have qualifications
At least two years of work experience in residential and commercial property maintenance and repairs, construction, or related experience.
This position requires a candidate who can work independently, prioritize tasks effectively and perform work in a timely manner.
Own or have access to a properly insured road worthy vehicle for use in business transportation needs.
Maintain valid a driver's license and insurance.
Possess and transports your own hand tools and provided materials needed for job.
Must always have/own a working ‘smart phone’.
The ability to be on call for emergencies after business hours and on weekends, on a rotating basis with other staff.
Ability to speak, read and write in English.
Ability to communicate effectively and in a timely manner, both verbally and in writing.
Attention to detail and organizational skills.
Will test negative upon drug testing.
Responsibilities
Represent Downey & Sons Property Care in a positive and professional manner.
Assess the job/project location to identify the issues and repairs needed that include but are not limited to carpentry, electrical, painting, plumbing, and/or appliances.
Perform apartment turnovers and all work in a timely manner.
Alert your supervisor of any potential liabilities or unexpected problems.
Maintain contact with your supervisor to report changes in job/project status and to assess and inspect your work as needed.
Keep accurate records of each job/project using the company’s project management cell phone application, “Service Fusion”.

Desired Qualifications:
Residential Maintenance Experience
High school diploma or GED.
