Janitorial District Manager
Location: Seattle, WA (servicing neighboring cities)
Job Type: Full-time (Monday–Friday, with weekends as needed)
Position Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated Janitorial District Manager to oversee the daily operations of our janitorial cleaning services. This role involves leading the janitorial team, ensuring top-tier quality control, and maintaining strong client relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Team Management
Recruit, train, and coach staff while ensuring proper staffing levels, including coverage for absences.
Conduct ongoing training in technical skills, customer service, and safety (including BBP training).
Screen and interview job applicants for open positions.
Quality Assurance & Client Relations
Perform regular building inspections to ensure cleaning services meet high standards; address any deficiencies promptly.
Maintain strong client relationships, responding to special requests and providing daily progress reports.
Work closely with the Customer Service Representative to resolve service-related issues.
Conduct monthly inspection reports and maintain visibility at each account with weekly visits.
Operations & Compliance
Oversee supply delivery, equipment usage, and inventory management.
Ensure compliance with safety protocols and company policies.
Collaborate with Senior Managers and Controller to maintain budget adherence.
Maintain accurate SDS books and tailor logs/documentation to each account.
Review and approve employee timekeeping for payroll processing.
Service Implementation & Facility Oversight
Conduct pre-service walk-throughs to assess needs, establish cleaning routines, and implement task schedules.
Manage installation of necessary equipment and supplies at new accounts.
Ensure proper repair and maintenance of cleaning equipment.
Qualifications:
Language & Communication
Fluent in English and Spanish (spoken and written).
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively.
Experience & Skills
Minimum 5 years experience in the janitorial industry.
Minimum 2-3 years in a managerial or supervisory position.
Knowledge of professional cleaning equipment and supplies.
Ability to plan schedules, manage supply inventory, and adapt to evolving operational needs.
Familiarity with professional cleaning chemicals and safety standards.
Requirements
Valid WA driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Ability to work flexible hours as needed.
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and multitasking ability.
Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage teams effectively.
